Personal

I was born in Ceuta (Spain), a small town in Nothern Africa, at the entrance of the straight of Gibraltar in 1969, and I attended primary school in School Lope de Vega, and secondary in Abyla High School. In 1987 I went to Granada to take a BEng, MEng in Computer Science (College of Science, University of Granada), and in 1993 I came to Cadiz, to try a stint as a university professor. Here I met my wife (who is also a university professor in College of Laws) and living here since. Below, aerial photos of Ceuta and Cádiz.

My hobbies are:

a) Reading: mainly history, medicine and theoretical physics, along with novel (my preferences are russian and french literature), to total about two thousands volumes at home. My wife has already said or books... or me. Poetry nothing afraid; I do not tune my mindset. Below, some of my books and my main library at home (I have four secondary more)

e) Sports, many of them whe I was something more young: basketball, cycling, underwater fishing, some fencing ... and so on. Today, I  hate all the whole thing, and  walk an hour every day and ride a bike, three or four times a week, but only for looking after my cardiovascular health.

f) And of course... a few glasses of sherry and a brandy with friends;

g) Finally, things I do not like, or I hate: mobile phones, tablets, driving, tv, barbecues, christmas...
